In the beginning

Gary Quick is the founder of Quick Solutions, Inc.  He was a very successful businessman.  On March 6, 2006 he was in Daytona Beach, FL for bike week with some buddies.  He was riding his motorcycle down the freeway at about 70 mph when his coat got caught in his back wheel.  He lost control and was thrown from his bike.  He landed on his right side breaking 4 ribs his clavical and hitting his head causing his traumatic brain injury (tbi).  He was rushed to Halifax Hospital where they did a craniotomy.   He was in a coma for about 6 weeks.  It has been almost 20 months since that horrible day and he is no longer progressing so we have decided to take him to Tijauna, Mexico and have stem cell replacement therapy done.  This blog will be the story of Gary’s progress, whether it’s good or bad, in order to give others thinking of having stem cell replacement therapy an idea of what to expect.   I am his wife, Shelly, and I will be writing the blog.  To everyone who has had the misfortune of having a loved one receive a tbi, our prayers are with you and I hope this blog will help you.

    Shelly,

Your ‘cousins’ up north in Canada have been getting regular news from your Mom on Gary’s struggle (and yours) and we want to wish all of you our thoughts and prayers. Hopefully this new and potentially wonderful treatment helps you and your family get back some of the life and joy that you all shared prior to the accident.

    Love Bob & Wendy
